Dear Oregon friends – we are happy to announce that THE GREY AREA is coming to Portland!
Wednesday, November 20, 2013 @ 7pm. The Clinton Street Theater presents – Reel Feminism: a series of feminist films and discussion panels. Hope you can make it!
We are excited to announce that THE GREY AREA was selected to screen at the 7th annual Film Festival for Women’s Rights in Seoul, Korea. The film will be screening at the festival on November 7th (5:30pm) and on Nov 8th (11:50am). Please reserve your tickets ahead of time at the Festival’s Website!
The Korea Film Festival for Women’s Rights has been held to publicize the truth about violence against women and to spread the culture of supporting the victims’ survival and recovering since 2006 by Korea Women’s Hotline. We hope that the story of brave women who are finding their own lives and human rights can bloom in our film festival.
THE GREY AREA will be screening at the Joe McCauley Gallery (Heartland Community College) in Normal, Illinois, as well as at the Logan Correctional Center in Lincoln, Illinois. The screening will be part of the exhibit - Walls and Bridges: Art by Women at Logan Correctional Center.
Film screening and panel discussion November 5, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., CCB 1406 and 1407 - The Joe McCauley Gallery is located in the Instructional Commons Building, Room 2507 at Heartland Community College, 1500 W. Raab Road, Normal, Illinois.
Panelists for the film’s discussion are Sherrin Fitzer, Dawn Beichner, Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator, Criminal Justice Sciences at Illinois State University, and Janet Wilson, Director of the School of Theatre and Dance and Producer of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival at Illinois State University.
